Cyclohexene CAS 110-83-8 is an important compound that is primarily used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. It is obtained by treating cyclohexanol with an acid. It is also obtained by the dehydrogenation of benzene and is an industrial intermediate when extracting oil. It is used in the synthesis of the applications of waterproof coatings.   Cyclohexene As an Olefin As a cycloolefin, cyclohexene is a colorless, inflammable liquid that has a unique sharp smell at room temperature. When placed in the air for a long time, it oxidates into peroxide by air. It can be naturally found in coal tar. It can dissolve in benzene, acetone, hexane, ether, ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, and many other organic solvents. Cyclohexene can form a binary azeotrope with acetic acids and lower alcohols. It also decomposes fast when around uranium salts in sunlight or any other source of UV rays. Cyclohexene forms naphthalene and benzene between 400-500 degree Celsius. Cyclohexene as a Regula
